A former up and coming chef cooking in some of Melbourne’s best restaurants, Darren’s life changed in 2003 when he was involved in a car crash and told he would walk with a limp for the rest of my life and never run again. Building on physio and a rigorous exercise program, Darren ran his first half-marathon within 6 months, a triatholon series shortly thereafter, and a half-Ironman in 2005. Despite heart complications and a speaking schedule that led to exhaustion, Darren is now a multiple Ironman finisher, father and husband. He teaches his methods for personal training to others now in the online world.
